Those two Monchhichis should show the figures which were displayed at March 3 every year when the "Hinamatsuri" which means "Girls Doll Festival" is celebrated.

On this day graceful dolls are dressed in ancient costumes and are displayed on a table. Look at this photo were you can see a "Hinamatsuri" decoration. I got this photo from Chikako. Many thanks!

This decoration lasts for about one month. There is a legend, which says, that when the tidy is too late, the marriage of the girl will come slowly. 

And now look again to the Monchhichis. They look like the couple above. What do you think?

To complete the story about festivals : Every year at May 5, the boys celebrate their festival called "Koinobori". At this day the families with young boys hoist carp-kites at their houses.
